Linwood's bicycle path and parks are now smoke free; thank you City Council, for helping kids breathe easy.

Amanda, founder of Peer Partners and Project Breathe Easy, served on the Youth Advisory Council of the American Legacy Foundation and as an Executive Board Member for Ignite National. From advocating for smoke-free air to holding politicians accountable and surveying college students about their smoking knowledge, her activities have run the gamut. In 2003, Amanda educated children throughout Ghana about the harmful effects of tobacco and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. She continued her global efforts in Spain, England and East Asia. She founded Tobacco Awareness at Penn to raise awareness about tobacco on campus while assisting with local, statewide and national measures focused on tobacco control and cessation. Project Breathe Easy has been on a mission with regard to local, statewide and national efforts to make our public parks, recreation areas and sports fields, smoke-free. After speaking to the President and District Presidents of New Jersey Little League, they all enthusiastically agreed to post our smoke-free signs on their ball fields. You too can make a difference in your communities by posting one of these signs that we will send you FREE!
