Share Our Strength's Great American Bake Sale: No Kid Hungry

We are happy to announce that Peer Partners Project Kids Feeding Kids, founded and organized by Daniel Feldman was listed 4th in the 2009 Great American Bake Sale Top Ten Fundraising Teams*  GREAT JOB!!

The Great American Bake Sale, presented by Share Our Strength, turns a simple but powerful idea into a community movement to end childhood hunger in America. Since 2003, more than 1.3 million people have participated in Great American Bake Sale, raising nearly $5 million to make sure no child in America grows up hungry. The effort has rallied some of the culinary world’s most recognized celebrities like Food Network stars and national spokespeople Sandra Lee and Duff Goldman.

Why should you host a Great American Bake Sale?

  • 100% of funds you raise help feed kids.
  • Funds you raise from your local bake sale stay local, supporting after-school and summer feeding programs in your community—food programs that hundreds and thousands of kids depend on.
  • It’s a fun solution with a large impact.
  • You can host bake sale based on your schedule and in your community. You don’t have to train for six months to run a marathon or make a large donation to make a huge difference.

The Great American Bake Sale calls all Americans to action — individuals, faith-based and youth groups, civic organizations, and businesses can participate by hosting a Great American Bake Sale at their home, place of worship, place of work, or community center.

The next Great American Bake Sale season will kick-off in March 2010. Visit www.greatamericanbakesale.org to get updates and learn how you can participate.
